College Board Honorees

I. C. Norcom High School’s Kennedy Mayes and Manor High School students Raul Lancheros, Alexander Lovejoy, Lillian Miller and Olivia Mitchell have each received awards from the College Board National Recognition Program. Each student has either earned the First-Generation Recognition Award, the new School Recognition Award or both.

According to College Board, the National Recognition Program is designed to honor students who demonstrate academic success in 10th and 11th grade by maintaining a 3.3 GPA or above and scoring in the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers in their school, locality or state. To qualify for the First-Generation Recognition Award, students must also test in the top 10% of all identified first-generation test takers in their state.
